In need of a more efficient way to manage the patient check-in process, they sought a system that would streamline registration, improve the patient experience and integrate existing systems. MediKiosk provided a single-system solution to support these needs.
Prior to MediKiosk, patients waited in the same line to register, ask for doctor information and schedule appointments, resulting in long lines and wait times. Now patients at Newark Beth Israel check-in, verify insurance information and sign consent forms through the Medikiosk - which shortens lines and frees up clerks to help others. The hospital also used Galvanon to implement express check-in where patients can log-in and register for appointments remotely, providing faster access to services upon arrival. Newark Beth Israel Medical Center plans to use swipe cards for check-in in the future.
